Q&A

Q1: What is rubber base gel?
A: Rubber base gel is a flexible gel base coat that adds strength and flexibility to weak or brittle nails. Ours does everything a rubber base does—plus delivers stronger adhesion, smoother leveling, and better long-term wear. No need for a gimmick label when our base outperforms rubber bases across the board.

Q2: How is this base gel better than rubber base?
A: You get all the flexibility of a rubber base, plus stronger adhesion, better leveling, and more durability. It soaks off fast, won’t peel or lift, and can handle small extensions—no gimmicks, just a better base for real results. All Arch Rival base gels outperform standard rubber bases on strength, smoothness, and wear.

Q3: Can you soak off this base gel?
A: Yes. Apply it thin, cure it right, and it soaks off fast with acetone—no drilling, no damage.

Q4: Is this good for thin or weak nails?
A: Yes. It supports and protects thin or damaged nails, filling in dips and flexing with the natural nail—no stiffness or bulk.

Q5: Can this base gel replace structure gel?
A: It’s solid for gel manicures and minor repairs, but for big extensions, use a true builder gel. This is for flexible protection, not major length.

Q6: Why use this soak-off base over Base+ or builder gel?
A: Compared to Base+, this base is stronger and levels smoother. Compared to builder gel, it’s thinner, more flexible, and easy to soak off. You get strength and flexibility without the extra weight.

Directions for use

  1. Thin Layer Application:  Scrub a very thin layer of the base gel on top of nail prepared with Prep and primer.  Optima allows for a soak off service.  Salt acid primer is recommended for a filled service and Optima on top of Salt for a no lift, no soak off water tight seal.
  2. If you desire more coverage or thickness, you can build upon the initial layer. Apply additional thin layers and cure between each one for 1 minute in an Arch Rival Nail lamp.
  3. Follow with soft or hard gel and your favorite Killer Coats gel polish.
